Now in its 42st year, Hugo’s Good Neighbor Days has become a popular end-of-the-school-year celebration for people of all ages!
The Hugo Lions Club hosts the festival, and their hard work makes this 4 day bash a much-anticipated community tradition year after year.
Highlights of Good Neighbor Days include the carnival rides and the highly entertaining band, Good for Gary performing on Saturday night.
Other activities include a parade through town,Carnival, Lions kitchen, bingo, face painting, teen dance, a kids’ raffle, beer garden, Friday night band, and many many more activities!
Proceeds from this 4 day affair are returned to the community for projects sponsored by the Hugo Lions Club.
Does anyone remember the high winds that blew down the ferris wheel and concession stand, and ripped one of the game tents? When this occurred the Hugo Lions Club hammered and nailed everything back together and the event was back in operation by early afternoon.
